Can 1,000 lb Tongue Weight Curt MV Weight Distribution be Used Without Sway Control
Question:
Can you use the weight distribution hitch with the two arms and not the sway control bar??

Expert Reply:
Yes, if you'd like you can forgo the friction sway control that is included with the Curt MV Weight Distribution System w/ Friction Sway Control - Round Bar - 10K GTW, 1K TW # C17062.
However, you'd be buying a portion of the kit that you wouldn't use, so a better option would be to buy this same system, but without the friction sway control part, which you can get with the following:
- Curt MV Weight Distribution System - Round Bar - 10,000 lbs GTW, 1,000 lbs TW # C17052
This is exactly the same thing, just without the sway control, so you'd be better off saving some cash and going this route. The only other thing you would need is a hitch ball, the 2-5/16" Hitch Ball # C40030.
I have added some links below to video reviews for you to check out as well if you'd like to take a look.
