How Does 4-pole to 7-pole Adapter 30717 Get Installed?
Question:
How would you wire this to the TV 4 pin

The 4-pole to 7-pole adapter # 30717 would plug in to the 4-way connector on your tow vehicle, and then you would need to connect the remaining wires yourself. Typically we only recommend this kit if your trailer only needs a 7-way connector for lights and does not have trailer brakes due to it not including any wiring or circuit breakers needed.
A better option is the # ETBC7 which includes the same style connector, but includes the wire and circuit breakers needed to activate the rest of the functions of the connector. The white wire will get grounded to the frame of your vehicle, the blue wire will get extended to where a trailer brake controller will be installed underneath your dash, and lastly the black wire will get run to the positive terminal of your battery with the included 40 amp circuit breaker.
if you are needing a trailer brake controller as well I highly recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 as it is an extremely reliable controller that is proportional meaning that the built in inertia sensor detects the intensity you applied the brakes on your vehicle, and sends the same braking intensity to your trailer brakes for smooth, controlled braking.
I included videos of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
