Easy to Install Brake Controller Recommendation for 2020 KIA Telluride

Question:

I have a 2020 Telluride with a factory installed class 3 tow hitch and 4 pin connector integrated into the hitch. I want to be able to tow a trailer over 2000 lb with trailer brakes. The Kia dealership has no clue about a brake controller for my vehicle! How can I get a compatible brake controller with a 7 pin connector for my Telluride? I want a brake controller and wiring that will not hurt my vehicle’s wiring system and will not hurt my vehicle warranty. What do you suggest? The trailer max GVWR is 5000 lbs.

We can easily help you with a brake controller and 7-way for your 2020 Kia Telluride that won't be invasive at all to the vehicle's wiring and will also be easy to use. If you go with the Curt Mobile Echo Brake Controller # C51180 all you need to install it is the # ETBC7L which will plug into your 4-way and once you run one included wire up to the vehicle battery will be ready to tow with once synced to your smart phone.

Other options do require quite a bit more wiring but with the Echo it's greatly reduced and still works great.
