When Is a Reese Friction Sway Control Kit Needed

We are using this box cargo trailer for small contract building carpenter jobs. It will contain tools and lumber. Do I need a sqaybar.

There are a number of factors that can contribute to trailer sway. The trailer having a light tongue is one of them. The best way to determine if a trailer has sway is to get out on the road loaded as you would normally and see if you have sway issues. If you do then you can add a friction sway bar like the Reese Friction Sway Control Kit part # 83660.
