Bike Rack Solutions for Rear of Travel Trailer

Question:

Wondering what you would think of using the 2-bike w/out the extension in a hitch on back of travel trailer? Also wondering if the 2-bike extension can be mounted separately to front bumper of travel trailer. Mostly I like this rack as a hitch rack for my 2020 Subaru Forester, but would like the versatility of using it on a travel trailer as well. I dont want to get a hanging bike rack because my daughter has a special bike that is difficult to hang.

Due to the much rougher ride quality at the rear of travel trailers not all bike racks are rated for use at the rear of them. The # Y02443-2 that you referenced is not rated for travel trailers but Yakima does have the OnRamp part # Y36FR which is. Or for something more economically priced we have the # S64663.

Then to carry an additional two bikes up front you could use the Lippert Jack It part # LC429756 which attaches under the trailer jack mounting flange.
