How Do I Fix the Handle Release on My Thule T2 Pro XTR # TH83JV?
Question:
Hi, The handle release is not working. Nothing happens when i squeeze the handle in an attempt to release the the Rack to the down position. The release handle seems to no longer be connected to the mechanism that allows the Rack to be moved to the various positions. How can this be fixed or does the Rack need to be replaced. it was purchased about 4 months ago.

I reached out to my contact at Thule, and he walked me through the steps to reconnect the mechanism on your Thule T2 Pro XTR # TH83JV. To get the mechanism re-aligned to move the rack to various positions, remove the side screws on the handle then loosen the center one (which will not come out completely). Remove the handle to be sure that the center piece lines up on the backbone. I went ahead and attached a photo to this answer to let you know how the pieces should be aligned.
