Best Way to Fix Sag When Towing with 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500
Question:
Hi, I’m pulling a trailer weighing approximately 7000 lbs with my 2020 Silverado 1500 High Country with an e2 round bar weight distributing hitch. One of my friends indicated that he though some of the squat might be reduced with some aftermarket “helper” springs. I’d love to know your thoughts/recommendations. Thanks,

Suspension enhancement would be a good idea to get rid of the squat you are experiencing when towing with your Fastway E2 weight distribution system. The best option is the RoadActive Suspension kit part # RAS54FR which gives you the support you want to reduce the sag but unlike other options will improve the ride quality and handling when loaded or unloaded. Other options like air bags will give you the support but won't improve ride quality which is why we recommend these so highly. The RAS kits also install really easily and are adjustable as well.
You might check to make sure your weight distribution system is rated properly for the tongue weight of your trailer as well. You want to make sure your system's tongue weight range allows your trailer tongue weight to fall right into the middle of.
