Tekonsha RF Wireless Brake Controller Displaying SH Error Code
Question:
We have the prodigy RF brake controller. The dealer recently moved the box back 6 inches to install a bike rack. Preciously they system worked fine. All lights are working but the handheld is not pairing with the box meaning the brakes aren’t working in the trailer. We tried pairing using the directions on another post but get S.H. as a flashing error. Any suggestions?

The SH error code you're seeing means that somewhere along the line the brake output circuit has a short circuit in it. You'll want to make sure that the connector on the trailer is securely grounded to clean metal on the trailer tongue.
Having a corroded or damaged trailer connector on the vehicle or trailer side is also a typical cause of this, so you'll want to inspect them and clean/replace as necessary. You'll also want to examine the brake output circuit on the trailer, from the trailer connector back to the brake magnets. Make sure that there aren't any pinched or broken wires or wires with cracked or worn insulation that would allow the wire to short out on the trailer frame.
