When installing the pivot arms on your B&W Companion # BWRVK3400-5W you'll need to measure from the ground to the floor of your bed and from the ground to the plate of the pin box on the trailer down to the ground while it's level. The difference between these is the height you'll need to set your hitch to.

The B&W Companion # BWRVK3400-5W has a height adjustment range of 17"-19" tall. You'll want to keep in mind that you need to have at least 5-6" of space between your bed side rails and nose of your 5th wheel and 16"-24" of distance between your truck's bumper and the 5th wheel.

To determine the horizontal position of the pivot arms you can measure the distance between the center axle and the bumper and the king pin to the body of the 5th wheel and if the difference is 16"- 24" you can place the pivot arms in the "over axle" position. If less than 16" you can place the arms behind the axle and if more than 24" you can place them in front of the axle.
