What to Do with Drawbars When not Towing
Question:
I installed a Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms on my 2014 Honda CR-V and tow it with a Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar w/ LED Lights - RV Mount - 8K. I just completed my first trip with this setup and it seemed easier to leave the drawbars attached to the towbar on the back of the RV when not towing the car. The only drawbackinch I found is that the towbar cover wont fit with the drawbars in place, but is there any reason the extra weight of the drawbars would be a problem for the spring latch that holds the the towbar vertical? It seemed that pretty much everyone else in the RV parks I visited else left the drawbars attached to the base plate on the car., so I wondered if this might be the reason.

I see no reason why storing the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit, # RM-521567-5 on the Roadmaster Nighthawk, # RM-677 would cause issue. I wouldn't drive the motorhome as such, but while in RV Park should be just fine.
