The advantage or pro, of having a converter/charger in one unit, such as the Progressive Dynamics Mighty Mini Converter/Smart Charger, # PD4045KA is having it all in one package; you know that all subcomponents are matched to function with each other. The way the Go Power Inverter, # 34278156 that you linked to works is to be connected to your RV's AC battery bank providing 12 Volt DC output. That battery bank is charged from the AC input of the shore power connection, or solar, or generator. The automatic transfer switches we carry, such as the 50amp Go Power Automatic Transfer Switch, # 34270278, automatically changes from inverter to shore power when you hook up at the campground. It also provides protection to your electrical system from AC power back feed.

There are several wiring configuration options, depending on the electrical application inside your RV. These include installation between shore power and an on-board generator, an inverter and an alternating source, or even a hybrid system using another transfer switch for designated circuits. Please review the attached instructions and compare to your vehicles current electrical arrangement.
