What Is the Lowest Temperature the Pro Series Round, Pipe-Mount Swivel Jack Will Work In
Question:
Good morning. My company is looking to use your PS1401440303 for a program. Are you able to provide any cold weather rating information for the unit? We will be operating in an environment with requirements of -45 degrees F. Will the OEM grease be able to function in this temperature?

Expert Reply:
I don't have the composition of the grease that comes in the Pro Series Round, Pipe-Mount Swivel Jack w/ Footplate part # PS1401440303 but most non-marine grade jacks use white lithium grease which is effective in temperatures down to zero degrees Fahrenheit. If you replace the grease with bio-based white lithium grease that can get you down to negative forty degrees Fahrenheit. That said, the grease won't freeze below said rating, it would just simply not be effective.
