Do All Lights Need to be Grounded on a Trailer with Incandescent Lights?
Question:
I realized that the tail lights need to be grounded to metal using the mounting studs on my utility trailer tail lights. I am using plastic fenders so I am running a ground wire from a stud to the frame of the trailer. Do both studs need to be grounded or can you ground from just using one stud ? Thanks

With incandescent lights, you do not need to ground both lights. This is something that needs to be done with LED lights due to them drawing significantly less power. However, if you will upgrade to LED lights at some point, it never hurts to have everything already run to where it needs to be.
