I recommend to use theBlue Ox Base Plate Kit, #BLU54VR to flat tow the 2020 GMC Sierra 1500. This base plate has easily removable arms that offer a seamless look when you're not flat towing. The base plate bolts directly to your chassis, so no welding is required. This will fit with Blue Ox Avail, Aventa, Aladdin, and Alpha tow-bars as well as many Roadmaster tow-bar options using an adapter.

For the tow bar, I recommend the Blue Ox Avail Non-Binding Tow Bar, # BX7420. This is a 10,000 lb. rated tow-bar which is more than enough for your 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 but also ensures enough if you have cargo in the bed of truck while towing. The non-binding latches make it easy to unhook tow bar on any terrain. It is a self-aligning design, simply hook up to base plates and drive the RV forward. The arms extend into a rigid, tow-ready position and automatically center then lock into place.

You will need supplemental braking which is required by law, I suggest the Roadmaster InvisiBrake Supplemental Braking System part # RM-8700 along with the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit, # RM-751495. And for your needed indicator lights that your truck will match with the RV, I suggest the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit part # RM-15267.

Finally you may need a high low adapter to tow the vehicle level with the motor home. In order to know how much rise or drop it will require to tow level some measuring is required. I have attached one of our help articles that walks you through the process of how to determine if a high low adapter may be needed and our selection of high low adapters. Please note also that there are product review and installation videos linked
