Helpful Expert Reply:
The Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider # DM8550034 that you referenced is designed to fit industry standard rails, if both the Ford and GMC have a Non-OEM rail set up with industry standard rails then you could use the hitch in both trucks.
If you have an OEM package then that changes things and I will outline the differences for each vehicle below.
If the Ford has an OEM set up you will need the Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for Ford OEM 5th Wheel Towing Prep Package # DM6175. This will provide the industry standard hitch points so you can use the Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider # DM8550034.
If the GMC has an OEM set up then you will need the Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for Chevy/GMC OEM 5th Wheel Towing Prep Package # DM6333. This will allow the Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider # DM8550034 to work in the GMC.
