Will I Be Able to Use the Thule EasyFold XT with the Extra-Long Ramp for My Electric Bike?

Question:

My electric step-through with 4-inch tires folds but its still too heavy for me to put in the back of my 2002 Ford Ranger. So with the longer ramp do you think Im 80 I can get my bike up the ramp and locked in on the rack OK. Note the cats in the picture are just for my Facebook page.

With the longer ramp, you will easily be able to mount your bike onto the Thule EasyFold XT # TH903202. I recommend the longer ramp # TH933402 because the angle of incline on the longer ramp is not as steep as the one that comes with the EasyFold XT. I went ahead and attached a video to this answer that shows a comparison. Also, another great thing about the EasyFold Xt is that the rack includes mounts that can be repositioned anywhere along upright frame to hold bikes by the downtubes or top tubes. This feature is important because it means that you will not have to buy a bike frame adapter for your electric bike to attach to the rack. In addition, The Thule EasyFold XT will be able to hold your 4-inch tires and the weight of your bike as long as your bike's weight does not exceed 65 pounds.

If you need a hitch recommendation for your 2002 Ford Ranger, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 13138. The Curt hitch comes with a tongue weight of 400 pounds and a maximum gross towing weight of 4,000 pounds. As far as the installation process, the Curt hitch comes with a complete hardware kit and instructions for an easy bolt-on installation.
