Question:

Need to know if the weight distribution sway-control bracket that attaches to the A frame interferes with my propane tank shelf which sits on the a frame from 17-1/4 to 26 inches from center of coupler.

You should be fine. The friction sway control components of the Pro Series Weight Distribution System # PS49582 do not need any vertical clearance above the frame rails, so even though it will attach at a distance of 24 inches from the center of the ball in the coupler it should not interfere.

The only thing that will need vertical clearance would be above the chain hangers for raising the spring bars into position. These should get installed 31 inches behind the center of the coupler ball so your propane tank shelf should not interfere.

When picking out a weight distribution system you always want to base it off of the loaded tongue weight of the setup. Any weight from cargo behind the rear axle should also be considered as tongue weight. Check out the FAQ article I attached on weight distribution systems also.
