Timbren Suspension Enhancement for 2002 Mitsubishi Montero Sport
Question:
in your description of the hollows springs, you describe they install easy and so on, but you do not mention weather these will replace the factory rear coil springs, leaf springs were only on the sports for a few years till about 99, so does this replace my rear coil springs or just assist the leaf spring models?because they came up under the parts list for my 2002 as optional parts accessories and they both aint going to fit over my axle, thanks ex mitsu tech these would be great to replace my coil springs, they are weak and hard to find, although not cheaper than adding airbags if i dont buy the onboard compressor, but beats inflating and deflating but thats what im going to have to add to carry weight

The Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement system you mentioned, part # TMRMONSP, would replace your existing factory installed factory bump stops, and would work along with, but not replace your factory coil springs.
This system is indeed compatible with your Montero Sport, even though it has the coil springs instead of leaf springs.
The springs themselves offer a 3,000 lb capacity, but they WILL NOT increase the load capacity of your Montero Sport. You will still be limited to the original capacity of the vehicle suspension. The springs will provide additional support when the vehicle suspension is under load.
I have captured a diagram for you showing how the springs install.
