Recommended Flat Towing Equipment For A 2016 GMC Yukon

A friend gave me his Roadmaster Falcon 5250 tow bar. Will this model work with the base plates you show for my SUV?

The Roadmaster Falcon 5250 tow bar you have will work with Roadmaster base plates but it is not rated to tow your 2016 GMC Yukon. That tow bar is rated for 5,000lbs and the curb weight of the 2016 Yukon is 5,379 to 5,626lbs with nothing loaded into it. Instead I recommend the Roadmaster BlackHawk 2 All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar - Motorhome Mount - 2" Hitch - 10K Item # RM-422. It has plenty of weight capacity and a non-binding design that allows you to release your vehicle at any time, anywhere on even or unlevel ground.

The Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms Item # RM-523179-5 will attach to the recommended tow bar above and removable arms provide a clean and unobtrusive look when not in use.

To flat tow your 2016 GMC Yukon you'll also need a tow bar wiring kit, braking system, and safety cables. I have the following recommendations for you below:
