Recommended Weight Distribution With Sway Control for Palomino Real-Lite Mini Travel Trailer
Question:
We have purchased a travel trailer and are going to pull it with our 2021 Kia Telluride. I ordered from e trailer earlier the receiver, wiring harnesses and the curt echo brake controller. My question is which weight distribution hitch would e trailer recommend. I failed to ask the salesperson while I had them on the phone. Travel trailer is advertised to have a 500lb tongue weight. The dealer said 600lb bars would be fine. My question is there are several brands to choose from and would like to ask what would you prefer. Thanks

Actually, the Fastway e2 # FA92-00-0800 you'd looked at would be ideal for you. The system is rated for 400-800 lbs of tongue weight which would be perfect for the travel trailer you mentioned. The system also offers a sway control component that's very effective on mild to moderate trailer sway which is very important because travel trailers are especially susceptible to sway caused by passing/oncoming traffic and cross winds. The sway control offered by this system will definitely make towing a more pleasant experience for you.
The system doesn't include the trailer ball, you'd want to use # A-90 for a 2 inch ball or # 19286 for a 2-5/16 ball. You'll also need a 1-7/8 inch thin walled socket to install the ball, if you don't have or can't borrow one, we offer them as part # EQ70-00-4800.
If you check out the linked video, my buddy Randy will show how to install and set up the system.
