Recommended Weight Distribution Sway Hitch For Keystone Travel Trailer Pulled With a 2018 Ford F-150
Question:
We have a 2018 Ford F-150 with Max tow package, and a 30’ keystone travel trailer with dry weight of ~4300lbs. The hitch that came with the trailer has horrible sway control, even with 2 sway bars on it. We’re looking for a new hitch that is easy to hook up and provides excellent sway and bounce control. Please make a recommendation. Thank you.

I recommend the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37060ET for your 30' Keystone travel trailer. It is rated for trailers with a tongue weight of 200-600lbs and a maximum trailer weight of 6,000lbs. It is a 4-point sway control to provide additional stabilization when on the highway.
If your 2018 Ford F-150 has electronic trailer sway control you will need to disable that before towing with the mechanical weight distribution hitch.
A 1-7/8" 12pt Thin Walled Socket # ALL643216 is needed to install the 2" ball that comes with the hitch. And I recommend using the Sway Bracket Jackets # EQ95-01-5150 to reduce hitch noise when you are maneuvering as well as extend the life of the parts by reducing metal on metal contact of the weight bars on the brackets.
