The first thing I recommend is to check the vehicle side trailer connector using a circuit tester like # PTW2979 if you need one. Have someone sit in the vehicle and run through the lighting functions while you test the trailer connector with the circuit tester. If not all the functions work, you may need some relays.
On a 2005 Nissan Armada there are tow package wiring relays that allow the wiring to function. It very well could be that some of the relays are missing or bad on your Armada. Check the owners manual for the location of relays related to the tow package wiring to determine if they are present or need to be replaced. If you need some, you can use relay kit # C57000.
If everything on the vehicle works when you test it then the issue is on the trailer, most likely a bad ground. You will need to make sure the main trailer connector ground is attached to a clean and corrosion free bare metal surface. Do the same for each of the trailer lights. If you have an aluminum frame or folding tongue you will need to run jumper ground wires from the lights to the main trailer connector ground.
