Best 5th Wheel Hitch Option for a 2010 Ram 1500 5.5' Bed

Question:

was wondering if this adapter would work for pulling a travel trailer, which is a 5th wheel pin weight 1000 lbs, unloaded 7400 with my truck which is a 1500 ram crew cab 57inch bed 4x4 with the 5.7 if I install the BWGNRK1309 hitch? thanks in advance

In order to tow a 5th wheel trailer using a truck with bed shorter than 6-1/2', you really only have one good fifth wheel hitch option which is the Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider part # DM8550040. The reason that this is the best option is because it allows for the most amount of travel which you will need for cab clearance due to the super short bed. It will require the Demco Hijacker Premier Series Above-Bed Base Rails and Custom Installation Kit part # DM8552030-71 for installation.

The B&W Companion won't be a viable solution for the super short bed options.
