Roof Rack for 2017 Ford F-450  

Question:

I bought this rack in 2017 to carry our kayaks on my F250 in conjunction with the big bed extender in a front hitch receiver. I planned to transfer it to our new-to-us 2017 F450 today, but quickly realized that the door jam has a completely different profile. Is there anything I can do to adapt it, or must I purchase a completely different system?

For your 2017 Ford F-450 Rhino Rack does not have any door jamb style roof racks as they only have the style that require drilling into the roof and installing a channel. A better option would be the Thule Wingbar part # TH711520, # TH710501, and # TH145177 which installs by grabbing the door jamb like you are used to.
