Does Black Power Wire Of Curt T-Connector C44ER For 2021 Nissan Rouge Have To Be Run To The Battery?
Question:
All the instructions Ive seen indicate that I need to run the 12VDC connection all the way to the battery, While I have done this numerous times on many vehicles, the last thing I want to do is tear into my brand new Rogue to run this connection when I know that there is 12 volts available in the rear of the vehicle. Ive already installed the hitch and just need to wire it for the lights. Any advice on what hot lead to tap into in the back of the car? Thanks

While it is definitely more work, the black 12v power wire of the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C44ER needs its own dedicated circuit and will need to be run to the positive terminal of the battery on your 2021 Nissan Rogue with the included in-line fuse.
Not doing so will void the warranty of the harness, as there are no pre-run dedicated circuits on your Rouge.
Instead of tearing into the interior of your Rouge I recommend running the wire underneath the vehicle making sure to avoid the moving suspension and exhaust. This will allow you to not need to remove anything from your vehicle to hook up the wire.
I included a video of the # C44ER for you to take a look at.
