Trailer Wiring Harness for a 2007 Jeep Commander
Question:
I just installed the hitch i bought from you, what a dream to install. It took me longer to put the stare tire back in place than to put the hitch on. Back to the question, i also bought the wiring adaper for the jeep. part # 118381, this jeep has the tow package , but i m unsure were to plug in at. Is it the plug that goes to the back up sensors? if not i do not see another plug. can you help me please.

If your 2007 Jeep Commander came with the factory tow package then it should have a factory 7-Way trailer connector at the back of the vehicle. You would follow this connector back to where it plugs in and that is where you would install # 118381. If there is no trailer connector on your Commander then # 118381 will not work. You would need to use # 118408 instead. I have linked the instructions and a video showing installation for you. Neither harness plugs into the back up sensor connector.
I am glad the hitch installation went well for you. Now we just have to get you the right wiring harness and you will be set!
