Solution for Carrying 2 Bikes above Trailer Jack on Camper Trailer

Question:

I bought this rack from you a couple years ago, and would like to use it with my popup camping trailer. We were looking at a curt adapter, but the trailer does not have much space, and the bike rack would hit the handle for the hitch wheel, and then would hit the battery and propane tank. It looks to us like we need about a 12inch rise for the bike rack to clear the trailer parts, and our current ball for the camper is raised about an inch, not ped. The other option seems to be some sort of extender for the trailer, but I am really not sure how everything would work out with turning, etc. Also, I would probably need an extender for the 7pin connector - we do not have a lot of sick in that right now. The tow vehicle is a 2019 Toyota Highlander Hybrid, with a 5,000 lb tow capacity. This is the bike rack and we mostly want to carry a mountain bike plus a tandem, so about 70 lbs. of bike normally, although we have the four bike carrier, and might want another mountain bike or a road bike if it was possible. The camper is a little A-frame and weights about 2,500 lbs fully loaded, with a hitch weight of 284 lbs. Thanks in advance for your help.

The Curt bike racks are not rated for use at the rear of an RV like what you have as they are not reinforced for the rougher ride quality that is present there. Since you have an A-frame trailer and only want to carry two bikes the best option is the Lippert Jack It part # LC429756 which attaches to the jack mounting surface and carries two bikes above the jack.
