Best Suspension Enhancement For 2020 Toyota Tundra Pulling a 7,000lb Car Hauler

Question:

Going to be pulling a 20ft 6-7k lb car trailer And was wondering which system would be best suited for controlling rearend sag and potential trailer sway? Should go with simple sumo springs? RAS suspension or a full WDH system??

Expert Reply:

I recommend using a Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37100ET for pulling your car trailer with your 2020 Toyota Tundra. The weight distribution system can be adjusted to ensure that your Tundra is level when towing your loaded trailer. This is the best way to ensure that your rear suspension doesn't sag and you maintain steering and braking. Sway control is built into the hitch spring bars and will help to reduce sway caused by wind and large vehicles on the highways. Since you aren't adding any suspension parts to your rear axle you will also maintain a smoother ride when you are not towing a trailer.

To install the included 2-5/16" hitch ball a 1-7/8" 12pt Thin Walled Socket # ALL643216 is needed.

I recommend using Sway Bracket Jackets # EQ95-01-5150 to reduce the noise from the hitch components and life of the parts. These nylon inserts reduce the metal on metal contact of the spring bars and L-brackets on the trailer frame.
