Compatibility of Hopkins HM42190 With 2016 Jeep Wrangler with Tow Package
Question:
I have a 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with the trailer tow package. I wanted to know if part HM42190 Hopkins quick install connector works with my Jeep even though the factory connector is only a 4 way or did it need to have a 7 way for this part to work

Since your 2016 Wrangler Unlimited has the factory tow package, you should be able to plug the # HM42190 right in. To confirm, you'll want to follow the wire feeding your 4 pole under the vehicle to where it plugs into the tow package harness. If that plugs into a rectangular connector, you'll simply unplug that connection, and plug the rectangular connector on the # HM42190 into it.
If you wanted both a 4 pole and a 7-way, you could use part # HM40975-11933 which would install the same way mentioned above.
