Question:
Attempting to connect my brake controller everything I’ve seen tells me there should be a connection behind the coin box in the dashboard there is none there. I found one under the day is near the steering column photo attached and one under the hood near the brake master cylinder jayco supplied two connectors in the package one fits under the hood the other will not fit anywhere question is the connection under the hood near the master cylinder is that the connector to use for the brake controller if I put a test light on the connector of the four wires one wire is hot all the time another is hot when the ignition is on.

I spoke with my technical contact at Tekonsha, who tells me that he isn't aware of any other spot where the brake controller connector would be located. Every Ford E-Series van or van cutaway chassis they've dealt with has had the brake controller connector clipped to the back of the storage pocket above the radio and HVAC controls. It's possible that the connector might have came unclipped from the back of the storage pocket, so I'd recommend reaching back in there to see if you can find a loose connector. Removing the doghouse might make it a little easier to see back in there.
I've linked to an install video that you might find helpful.
