It's pretty easy to wire up a 5-way flat with five wires in place of a 5-way flat with eight wires. There are multiple wires with the same function, you'd simply be combining these wires into one. I am not sure exactly what you have so you would need to test for this but usually there are multiple grounds and running light wires so you would just tie the multiples into one another before attaching to the new lead. The Hopkins Endurance 5-Way Flat Trailer Connector part # HM47910 is a great option for this. Please note, you need to match by function via testing instead of color.
