Will this hitch work on a Ram truck with the Ram boxes

The Demco Recon 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch, # DM8550043 can be mounted in the bed of a RamBox equipped tuck, the issue will be what pin box do you have on your 5th wheel. The hitch height settings are 15-1/2", 17-1/4", and 18" max.

The challenge is not all combinations of fifth wheel hitch components will work with Ram trucks that have the RamBox feature. It is not impossible to 5th wheel tow with a RamBox just fewer options on the market to select from. You will still have some limitations too. My suggestion to use a sidewinder/Turning Point pin box such as, for example, the Reese Sidewinder 5th Wheel King Pin with Rotating Turret, # RP34FR. If you let us know what pin box you currently have we can make best suggestion for replacement. This helps prevent pin box from contacting the sides of the RamBox, increases truck cab-to-trailer clearance in a turn. A wedge kit will be needed if you go this route.
