Recommended Solution For Body Roll on 2018 Ford F-150 with Air Bags Already Installed Towing 5W

Question:

I tow a KZ Durango Half Ton 5th wheel with a 2018 F150 3.5 eco boost, 10 speed tranny, air bags, and XL rated 20” tires. Truck has plenty of power, but I would like to stabilize vehicle a little more as semi trucks, etc go by. The RV loaded is about 9500 lbs and the truck as configured is rated to tow up to 10,700. The trailer seems to pull fine, but I think the F150 may be prone to more body roll. It’s not a long bed, but Would a rear sway bar or other suspension support help at all?

Typically the air bags should be doing a decent job of helping with stability but sometimes it's just not enough with certain trailers in windy conditions. We do not carry vehicle/truck sway bars but you could add something like the RoadActive Suspension # RAS3611-YHD. You'll need to make sure, on your truck, that there is at least 3-1/4 inches between the u-bolts for spring stack and the air bag kit you have. If there is then you have room to install the RAS kit and it would definitely give you some added help with the body roll by stiffening up the suspension more.

I've linked a review video of this system for you to check out.
