Reese Fifth Wheel Rail to Gooseneck Hitch Adapter # RP58079 Recommendation for a 1996 C2500 Chevy

Question:

I have a Reese 30027 5th wheel hitch installed on my 1996 C2500 Chevrolet truck. I want to be able to pull a gooseneck trailer at times. Will the Reese RP58079 hitch be a good solution? Will the Reese RP58079 mount directly to the rails from the 30027 hitch installed on my truck.
