Reese Goose Box 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Air Ride Coupler Adapter

Question:

Greetings I traded my 2019 gmc 2500 standard bed for a 2021 standard bed. The 2019 had a curtis 5th wheel system were I could in a x5 5th wheel adapter plate. The 2021 came with the gooseneck ball and chain tiedown kit dealer installed. I went to put my x5 adapter plate on yesterday and found out that it will not fit. Not nice. It looks like I should have got the z6a gooseneck/5th wheel prep package. I have used my curtis 20000 lb 5th wheel hitch set up with the rails in my 2015 and then with the x5 adapter on my 2019. I have never needed a sliding hitch on my standard 6ft beds. What are my options. I do NOT like the permanent bed rails.

If you let us know what pin box is installed on on your RV we can better recommend the exact options that will fit. We have options such as the Reese Goose Box 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Air Ride Coupler Adapter, # RP85FR.

I think the situation is probably that you have the X5 that is for 2016-2019 models. Currently there is not one for OEM for 2021 GM OEM. You would have to change your entire under-bed gooseneck set-up and I doubt you want that expense when there are other more cost effective ways. I suggest you follow-up with us what pin box you have.
