The Reese 16K Sliding Fifth Wheel Hitch, # RP30075, and base rails will transfer from your Dodge Ram to your 2000 Chevrolet Silverado as long as your base rails are Reese rails. The only components that may not transfer are the frame brackets. To determine if your frame brackets will transfer, we will need to know what type of frame brackets you were using to determine if they will fit on the Silverado.
If you were using a universal install kit like part # RP30035, then the frame brackets will work on your Silverado. If you have custom frame brackets on your Dodge Ram, then you will need a new set of frame brackets for your Silverado. The correct custom frame brackets for your Silverado is part # RP50064. These frame brackets come with all of the necessary hardware to install the frame brackets, but they do not include hardware to attach the base rails to the brackets.
Reese recommends using new hardware when re-installing base rails to ensure a secure connection. For replacement base rail hardware, you will want part # RP58430.
We do not recommend mixing parts from different manufacturers, so if your base rails are not Reese rails, let me know what brand your rails are and I can recommend the appropriate frame brackets.
