Install, Sound Level, and Reliability of Advent Air AC Unit and etrailer Generators

Question:

Hello I have several questions. They pertain to two of your products that I would be purchasing for the purpose of installing an AC into a travel trailer. This trailer has never had an AC in it before. The size of the opening is 13-3/8inch square opening. It also has a 110 volt outlet mounted in the ceiling next to it for the purpose of an AC to be installed. The travel trailer is an old Prowler manufactured around 1994?, 23 foot long and all open. My first group of questions pertain to the AC I want to purchase part# ACM135CH: 1. Do I have to widen the hole for this unit? As I stated the current existing square hole is 13-3/8inch wide. The simple sentence on the website said 14-1/4inch and the install instructions. By the way the link on the website to the install instructions is dead. 2. Since the AC outlet is mounted next to the opening I take it this device needs to be hardwired to it instead? Do you have instructions for this and installation? 3. Will this be a sufficient unit for a 23foot long trailer? I believe the width on this old trailer is around 8 foot. No second level on it. Maybe 8 feet high? 4. How reliable is this AC? Do you have a lot of returns for it? I plan to use this maybe 5-6 times a year only in the summer. 5. What is the decibel sound level on this unit? 6. How are warranties handled with this AC manufacturing company and this unit? 7. My current outlet for my camper has a sticker that says 110-125 Volt AC, 60 Hz, 16 Amperes Max. Can my outlet handle this air conditioner? My second group of questions pertain to the inverter/generators I want to purchase to run it part# 333-0001-2: 8. What is the decibel level of these generators? 9. How reliable are they do you have a lot of reported issues or returns? I will use this 5-6 times in the summer for camping and 1-2 for hunting. 10. What is the warranty on these devices? 11. Who makes them for etrailer? 12. Are the parallel cables reliable for them? Thank you for your time in answering my questions,

You would need to open the hole up in your trailer roof a bit to at least 14 inch by 14 inch to install the Advent Air RV unit part # ACM135C that you are wanting. This was designed to be hardwired an not plugged into an AC outlet like you have which is a bummer since that would be really convenient. We do have install instructions for this that are linked and are currently working. If you still have issues though let me know and I can see if I can get them cleared up for you. Your outlet can be removed and wired directly to this for install and also the size and performance of this unit would work great for your trailer.

The decibel level of this unit is 76. You can reach out to us if you have a warranty issue and we can get you taken care of or if you wanted to talk to Advent directly that would work as well. We do not have many issues at all with this unit as it is very reliable.

The warranty is:
2-Year limited warranty for residential use
180-Day limited warranty for commercial use

The parallel kit is very reliable as it's basically just wiring that runs between the two.
