Powering A 13,500 BTU RV Air Conditioner Without Shore Power

Question:

Will this ac operate using a 3000 qatt power inverter. I want to use it on my cargo van but unsure exactly how to wire it up properly please help.

No, for the most part you will not be able to run your Advent Air RV Air Conditioner - 13,500 Btu - White Item # ACM135 on battery power. An air conditioner requires a lot of electricity just to start up. It also requires a lot just to run for an hour. It is possible, however to run air conditioning on batteries. You just need a lot of battery power, along with a lot of solar panels, to help offset your battery draw.

The better and more cost effective option is to run it off of a generator and to also add on the Start Capacitor for Advent Air RV Air Conditioners Item # ACMSCKIT. I recommend the A-iPower 3,800-Watt Portable Inverter Generators - 3,000 Running Watts # 289-SUA2000i-2. It is an inverter type generator so it's safe for use on sensitive electronics as well.
