How to Fix Clogged Trailer Equalizer Grease Fittings

Question:

We did not purchase this suspension from you folks hopefully you can be willing to help. Our trailer came equipped with this product, however, we cannot get most of the grease zerks to take any grease. Have tried raising the trailer frame, raising one wheel at a time, etc. Nothing tried so far has helped. Any suggestions to help us grease this suspension would be most appreciated. Thank you.

The MORryde # MR87ZR itself doesn't feature grease zerks, so you're likely referring to the bolt holding the equalizer in place, referred to as a wet bolt.

If you're certain that the grease gun is working correctly, it's possible that the zerks themselves are clogged. To unclog them, use a hair dryer or a heat gun on its LOWEST setting. Have a helper hold the dryer or gun on the zerk fitting until it's heated, then immediately attach the grease gun and add grease. The new grease will eject the softened old grease out of the way, thus unclogging the fitting.
