Question:
My curt t connector with 4 pin plug suddenly stop working. I checked all fuses, trailor lights, and connector and found that the yellow and green wires are not getting power. My question is are the yellow and green wires supposed to receive power ? Vehicle is 1997 honda crv.

Expert Reply:
The yellow and green wires on the Curt T-Connector # C55336 you have installed in your 1997 Honda CR-V should have power when the brake lights, left, or right turn signal in your vehicle are on.
If you are not getting power on the 4-way connector when these functions are on and you have already confirmed the fuses for the trailer lights are not blown then remove the harness all together and look for any debris that could have made its way into the connector.
Next reinstall the connector and using a circuit tester like # PTW2993 test the green and yellow wires before the black converter. If you have power going in to the converter but not coming out to the 4-way then the converter is bad and the harness will need to be replaced.
I included a video of the # C55336 for you to take a look at.
