How To Minimize Vertical Movement With The Thule Apex Swing

Question:

Hello I have an older Thule Apex Swing 4 with an adapter plate installed for a 2” hitch. I’m using the rack on a 2012 Honda Pilot with the OEM hitch installed. The hitch adapter is similar to what is shown here: https://www.etrailer.com/tv-review-thule-apex4-th9025.aspx I’m able to install the rack and it fits well after tightening the anti-rattle knob EXCEPT that the entire rack has some freedom to swing vertically and will bounce more than I’d like when going over bumps. Do you have any suggestions to help with this problem? Thanks!

I know exactly what's going on here. The Anti-Rattle stabilizer # e99007 is what you need. It will stop all of the vertical movement you're experiencing.
