Why Is The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch DR73RR Not Fitting My 2020 Subaru Outback Wagon?
Question:
How can I be certain that the correct hitch was shipped to me? I tried to install it this weekend and it is about 2 inches short of fitting on my frame. I used the search function on the site to confirm that this hitch would fit my 2020 outback and I even read customer reviews saying it did, but once I got all the hardware installed and attempted to line up the hitch it was to short.

The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT73RR you ordered through us is a confirmed fit for your 2020 Subaru Outback Wagon.
Due to the size and weight of hitches it is not uncommon for the mounting flanges to get flexed during shipping causing some weird fitment issues like you are having.
What you will need to do is follow the included help article that goes over identifying exactly how much your hitch flexed and how to correct it.
I also included a video of the # DT73RR being installed on a 2020 Subaru Outback Wagon for you to take a look at.
