Help Finding Cold Side Stop Light Switch Wire In 2010 GMC Canyon To Install Trailer Brake Controller
Question:
im installing a brake controller in this 2010 canyon and can not find any wire from the brake light switch that has power when the pedal is depressed it does not have factory tow package

I am sorry to hear you are having a hard time finding the correct cold side stop light switch wire on your 2010 GMC Canyon.
When we installed the Tekonsha Primus IQ # TK90160 on a similar 2005 Colorado we found the the cold side of the stop light switch wire was the light blue wire as you can see at the 8:00 minute mark of the included video.
I recommend using a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to verify that this wire is still the same on your 2010 model year.
