2019 Silverado 1500LT Short Bed Suggestion of 5th Wheel Hitch for Turning Point King Pin

Question:

Hello, I have a New body style 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500LT with the standard bed 6 and a half foot. I bought a 150 series Grand design 5th wheel which has the pivoting pin box. From what i understand i do not need a slider hitch since the trailer has the pivoting pin box. Which 5th wheel hitch none sliding is good to use?

Yes, that is correct, a properly equipped short bed truck can use a fixed position 5th wheel hitch and rotating king pin box to haul a 5th wheel RV.

- B&W Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches, # BWRVK2504
- B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Dual Jaw - 16,000 lbs. # BWRVK3200
- 5th Airborne Custom Wedge for B&W Fifth Wheels, # SWW-06

For your 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with 6.5' bed, I suggest the B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Dual Jaw - 16,000 lbs. # BWRVK3200 installed using the B&W Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches, # BWRVK2504. These custom brackets mount beneath your truck bed to provide attachment points for 5th wheel rails, the rails will sit in the truck bed and allow installation of your 5th wheel trailer hitch. From the specs available to me, the Reflection 150 Series Fifth Wheel has a Turning Point pin box, a dry weight of about 7,000 lbs. and a TW starting at 1,200 lbs.

The B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Dual Jaw - 16,000 lbs. # BWRVK3200 is a dual jaw on 5th-wheel hitch that offers a secure connection with 360-degree jaw-to-king-pin contact. It has durable polyurethane bushings that limit rattle and vibration with a base that adjusts for ideal vertical and fore/aft positioning. You will also need the Custom Wedge for B&W Fifth Wheels, # SWW-06, this wedge prevents pivot at the fifth-wheel hitch jaws allowing pivot point only at the rotating turret.
