Parts Needed to Add a Trailer Brake Controller to a 2005 Honda Pilot with 4-Way Wiring Harness
Question:
I have purchased a tent trailer Gross weight about 2850 lbs which I plan on towing with a 2005 Honda Pilot. I have already got the Honda hitch with the necessary cooling devices and have at present a 4 pin plug in. Can you confirm that this unit Prodigy p 2 will work with this vehicle and also if I get the universal installation kit ETBC7 it will give me all I need to complete the set up? Thanks for your help

Helpful Expert Reply:
Since your 2005 Honda Pilot all ready had a 4-Way trailer connector, like you said, you will just need the brake controller itself, # 90885, and the 4 and 7 Way installation kit # ETBC7. This will provide the 7-Way and the wiring needed to hardwire in the brake controller.
I have included some links that will help you with the ETBC7 installation.
