Comparing Trunnion Vs. Round Spring Bars for Weight Distribution Systems

Question:

I currently have an EAZ-Lift Trekker hitch that comes with tapered distribution bars like a leaf spring. It also acts like a leaf spring storing and releasing energy from whoops in the road. Would the square bar format on this hitch help relieve some of that bounce by dampening it with its non tapered profile? I’ve used my Trekker on both a 2500 and 1500 with the bounce apparent on both. Thanks!

There are two different types of spring bars for weight distribution systems, round like part # FA94-00-1033 and trunnion like part # EQ37121ET. The trunnion spring bars start out square and taper down. The round spring bars are round from start to finish. The main difference between them is ground clearance. The trunnion spring bars provide more ground clearance than the round spring bars. I am not aware of any significant differences in performance.
