Adding A Go Power Portable Solar System Panel To An Existing Solar Panel Set Up
Question:
As a follow-up to the Can Go Power Portable Solar System Be Used with Existing Solar Panel Kitinch question, my 2020 Winnebago Micro Minnie 1800BH has a 100 watt Go Power rooftop system from the factory. Ive already added a second battery in parallel. Id like to add a second portable solar panel to this system, but to my knowledge, the system isnt prewired with a plug to add an additional portable panel. The 7-Pin Trailer Adapter for Go Power Portable Solar Kits seems like the easiest way to connect an additional panel. Is it really as simple as unplugging my Winnebago from the truck and plugging it into this 7-pin adaptor with the 90 watt kit? Hooked up this way, will this kit work okay with my factory installed 100 watt rooftop Go Power system?

Yes, the Go Power Portable Solar Panel with Digital Solar Controller - 90 Watt Solar Panel Item # 34282729 can plug into your 7-pin outlet using 7-Pin Trailer Adapter for Go Power Portable Solar Kits # 34270357. Since the # 34282729 has its own solar controller you won't have to worry about mixing the two systems together and can just plug it in and it will run independently from your current roof top system. With the Extension Cable for Go Power Portable Solar Kit - 30' Long # 34270356 you can park in the shade and place your portable panel in direct sunlight.
