What Bike Rack will Fit My Electric Bikes Between My 2018 Santa Fe and My Trailer?

Question:

Hello, Ive been trying to find information on various platform hitch racks e-bike capable for my 2018 Santa Fe XL. I have a dual receiver Curt model w/ a 5 13/16inch rise on the top receiver. The bottom receiver might eventually house a trailer connection on an extender. Id like to know what the total length from hitch pin to farthest point of the Thule EasyFold XT - when level is on this rack to help me know if it would fit between the bumper and the trailer. Im still missing some info on the trailer dimension height. A rough drawing of what Im thinking is included. Any suggestions for other platformers that are shortestinch would be helpful.

Thanks so much for the detailed drawing! I have a solution for you. The measurement of the pinhole of the receiver to the end of the Thule EasyFold XT # TH903202 is 35 inches. This unfortunately won't work with the 26-1/4 inches that you have between the pinhole of your Curt Dual Hitch Adapter # D-192 and your trailer.

With that being said, a great solution is the Saris Freedom Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount # SA4412B. The Saris Freedom. The Saris Freedom is about 24 inches from the opening of your Curt dual adapter. A great feature of the Freedom is that the rubber attaching cradles adjust independently along upright mast to hold bikes of various shapes and sizes. This eliminates the need of a Swagman Deluxe Bike Frame Adapter Bar for Women's, Children's, and Alternative Frame Bikes # 64005. The Saris Freedom has a maximum per-bike weight capacity of 60 pounds.

It is important to note that using any kind of hitch adapter reduces the total towing/tongue capacity of your hitch receiver by 50%.
