How Does Lippert SolidStep RV Door Step Clear Screen Door
Question:
I have about 1 inch clearance under my main door on my fifth wheel, but just under 1/2 inch under my screen door. I dont want to have to trim off the bottom of the screen door. How much clearance do I need to install Lippert Fold Down Steps? Thanks,

The SolidStep Manual Fold-Down Steps part # LC791574 are secured in the upright position by a striker which catches the lip on the door frame. I have attached a photo of this for you. In regards to compatibility with a screen door, this shouldn't be an issue for most screen doors as the steps actually sit inside the trailer. The only part that sits inside the door frame is the striker mechanism above which so long as it does not align with the screen door bar there would most likely be no interference issues. I have attached a photo of this for you as well.
