Determining If Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver C13363 Fits 2017 Jeep Compass New Body Style W/ 2 Lift

Question:

Will part #C13363 fit a 2017 Compass New body style if a Rough Country 2inch lift has been installed? My only concern is that the muffler is ped about 1inch with the lift. Will the muffler hit the hitch due to it being ped?

Since the Rough Country 2" Lift you installed on your 2017 Jeep Compass New Body Style is a suspension lift there should be no fitment issues with the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13363 you were looking at.

I am not 100% what you are referring to in regards to the muffler. I looked in the instructions for the Rough Country lift and see no mention of any changes regarding the muffler.

Now if for some reason your muffler was moved, it is possible that the # C13363 would interfere with it, as all of the hitches for your vehicle were designed around the factory muffler placement. If there are fitment issues a local muffler shop will be able to move the muffler as needed.

If you are planning on towing with your Compass you will also need a vehicle wiring harness # C56369, and a ball mount, hitch ball, and hitch pin and clip which can all be found in the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900.
